Home Depot and Ikea are the best places that I have found for recycling CFL bulbs.
This is something I did not know. According to this article from Compact Fluorescent Bulbs.com, dimmers, touch lamps and other electronic controlling devices can harm your CFL bulb’s circuitry reducing it’s lifespan. I guess that explains why the CFL bulb in the motion sensor light by my front door burns out every couple of years.
