2006 Chaparral 256ssi Ultra-Blue

Chapparal 256ssi blue underwater lights

This is what a 2006 Chaparral 256ssi looks like with a pair of Shadow-Caster SCM-6 underwater lights in Ultra-Blue. I found this picture on the Chaparral Boats Forum, and I can’t tell for sure if those are Shadow-Casters, but that is what they look like to me. Here is why. The color is the same as the Shadow-caster Ultra-Blue and the light projects back into the water just like a pair of SCM-6’s would. Most underwater lights project a narrow beam of light that creates a spotlight like effect. Shadow-Casters give you a pleasing 120 degree light spread that floods the water with a beautiful pool of light. I think these are the SCM-6 light, not the SCM-10’s, because the light projects just past the swim platform. With SCM-10’s the light would project light farther past the platform. Also, this size Chaparral boat hase a beam of 8’6″. Perfect width for the SCM-6’s.
