About Underwater-Lights USA

by Tony Bachan

My love affair with boats and boating started before I was 10. My family would spend summer days cruising around Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia on our Chaparral bowrider. Many years and many boats later there is still nothing I enjoy more than spending time on the water. Except, maybe, sharing my love of boating with others. So in 2010, I started my business, Underwater-Lights USA.

I knew I wanted to start a business and I knew I wanted it to have something to do with boating. I was already publishing a blog of fishing reports, flafin.blogspot.com, but I wanted to do more. That’s when I first heard about underwater LED boat lights.

What could be cooler than lights on the back of a boat? Extremely bright LED lights that’s what!

Shadow-Caster

After doing some research I found that the brightest and highest quality lights on the market were made by a company called Shadow-Caster. The company was owned by two engineers, Jeff Pound, and Brian Rogers, who had spent their careers developing military hardware and advanced optical and electrical systems. These guys know their stuff.

I also found out that Shadow-Caster was only a few miles away from me. After contacting them and telling them what I wanted to do they signed me up as one of their first online distributors.

I work closely with the people at Shadow-Caster. They not only help me resolve any problems that might crop up, they educate me about their products so that I can help you design a better lighting system for your boat.

Incredible Underwater LED Lights

A few years later I started working with another company local to me, Incredible Underwater LED Lights. These are the brightest underwater dock lights I’ve ever seen! They also work closely with me to quickly resolve any problems or answer any questions my customers might have.

How Can I Help You?

I try to make my website about more than just selling lights. I want it to be a place where boaters and dock owners can find reliable information on how to improve and maintain their boat or dock.

I love to learn about how things work and I am good at researching information.

I use these two skills to search education websites, trade publications, manufacturers websites, and the websites of top experts to find answers to common boating questions.

You’le find this information on my blog. I write about designing and maintaining both boats and boat docks. I also write about how to get the most out of the LED lights I sell.

If you find this information helpful please share it with your friends and fellow boaters on your favorite social media website. And if you have any questions, please ask by clicking the Contact Sales link at the bottom of the page.

Happy Boating!
