1. The lights draw more power than most switches can handle.
2. Wiring more than two lights together is complicated.The more lights you add the more complicated it becomes.

Marine power distribution boxes greatly simplify wiring three or more underwater boat lights. Each light has its own set of color-coded connectors and its own fuse. A water tight housing with cable glands keep moisture out. The SCM-PD power box draws power from a switch. All others draw power from a local power source. Marine power distribution boxes are operated through either a switch or light controller.
