The SCM-PD simplifies the wiring of between 4 and 6 Shadow-Caster single color underwater lights. It is a water-tight power distribution box that is mounted in a convenient location close to the lights. The lights are wired to the box and the box draws power from a nearby power source. Then, a single pair of thin wires is run to a switch.
As a result, your wiring stays neat, has fewer problems, and you save money on installation costs.
Description
The SCM-PD is a power box for underwater LED lights. It provides a central location to wire, fuse, and power up to 6 single-color underwater LED boat lights.
The box is water-tight. It protects your wiring from the damaging effects of moisture. The sealed lid and cable glands keep moisture out so your wiring stays dry and trouble-free.
The SCM-PD takes power from a circuit breaker and distributes it to your lights through six sets of snap-down connectors. The connectors are color-coded to match the wires from the lights. As a result, wiring your lights is almost foolproof and you save money on installation costs. Simply run the wire through the cable gland, trim back the insulation, and match the wire color to the terminal.
Additionally, each set of connectors has its own fuse. Having a fuse for each light not only protects them but also makes troubleshooting any problem much easier.
Taking power from a circuit breaker also allows you to place the SCM-PD in a convenient location near the lights. Your light wires stay short and neat with no power drop. As an added bonus you have only one set of wires running to the helm, not six.
