The SCM-PD-Plus simplifies the wiring of between 4 and 6 Shadow-Caster color-changing underwater lights. It is a water-tight power distribution box that mounts in a convenient location close to the lights. The lights are wired to the box and the box draws power from a nearby power source. The lights can then be operated through a switch or through a Shadow-Caster light controller.
As a result, there are fewer wires running through your boat. Your wiring stays neat, has fewer problems, and saves you money on instillation costs.
Description
The SCM-PD-Plus is a power distribution box for up to six color-changing underwater boat lights. The box supplies power to the lights. Then, a switch or light controller is used to control the light.
The SCM-PD-Plus draws power through a circuit breaker instead of a switch. Because of this, it can be placed in a central location near the lights. Doing so keeps your wiring short and neat with no power drop. Most of the wiring stays near the back of the boat with only a single set of wires is running to the helm.
The SCM-PD-Plus is watertight. The sealed lid and cable glands keep moisture out. Your wires remain dry and corrosion-free.
Wiring your lights is easy. There are six sets of color-coded snap town terminals. Simply run the cable through the cable gland, trim back the insulation, and match the wire color to the terminal. Each light is protected by its own fuse. The fuse not only protects your lights, it makes troubleshooting problems much easier.
