SCM-PD-Relay-4 Underwater Light Power Distribution
The SCM-PD-Relay-4 was designed to simplify the wiring of up to 4 Shadow-Caster single-color or color-changing underwater lights. It is a water-tight power distribution box. It should be mounted in a convenient location close to the lights. The lights are wired to the box and the box draws power from a nearby power source. Then, a single pair of thin wires is run to a switch or a Shadow-Caster light controller.
As a result, your wiring stays neat, has fewer problems, and you save money on instillation costs.
The SCM-Relay-4 is a power distribution box for up to four single-color or color-changing underwater boat lights. It provides a secure place to wire, fuse, and power your underwater lights. It can be used with either a switch or Shadow-Caster Light Controller.
The SCM-Relay-4 is water-tight. It protects your wiring from the damaging effects of moisture. The sealed lid and cable glands keep your wiring dry and trouble-free.
The SCM-Relay-4 draws power through a circuit breaker, not a switch. This is important because most boat switches are rated for only 15 or 20 amps. Four underwater lights can draw up to 31.2 amps. Well over the power rating of any switch.
Taking power from a circuit breaker also allows you to place the SCM-Relay-4 in a convenient location near the lights. Your light wires stay short and neat with no power drop. As an added bonus you have only one set of wires running to the helm, not six.
The SCM-Relay-4 also makes wiring your lights easy. There are four sets of color-coded snap town terminals each with its own fuse. Simply run the wire through the cable gland, trim back the insulation, and match the wire color to the terminal. Wiring your lights is almost foolproof and you save money on installation costs.
