Shadow-Caster makes four different versions of there LED underwater boat lights and two different versions of there underwater LED yacht lights. The light you should choose depends on the size of your boat, the size of your budget and how much you want to light up the water behind your boat.
What’s The Best Underwater Light?
Most boat owners mount there underwater lights along the transom to protect them from being struck by submerged objects. For this reason, the width of your boats beam is one of the first things you should consider when determining what lights to buy. Larger boats with a wide beam may need 3 or more SCM-10 lights to get an even coverage of light. Smaller boats or boats with a narrow beam may want to go with a pair of SCM-6s or SCM-4s. Once you decide what light you need, print copies of the Shadow-Caster product diagram drawings, cut out the light you’ve chosen and tape them where you want to place your lights. This helps to make sure the lights fit where you want them. Also check inside the boat to be sure you can reach the power cord when the light is mounted.
LED Underwater Boat Lights
Shadow-Caster underwater LED boat lights are built out of corrosion resistant 316 stainless steel. They come in three different sizes, a 4 LED (SCM-4), 6 LED (SCM-6) and 10 LED (SCM-10). Each of these lights comes in one of five different colors, Great White, Bimini Blue, Ultra-Blue, Aqua Green or Cool Red. There is also a 10 LED color changing version, the SCM-CC, that gives you four of Shadow-Casters most popular colors, Great White, Bimini Blue, Aqua Green and Cool Red, in one light. The SCM-CC comes standard with a power switch controller that lets you toggle between any of the four different light colors.
Underwater LED Yacht Lights
Shadow-Caster underwater LED yacht lights are designed for larger vessels that stay in water. They are built with an aluminum bronze housing that helps deter marine growth. There are two versions. The single color SCY-10 and color changing SCY-CC. Both use the same sized housing as the SCM-10. Like it’s SCM counterparts, the SCY-10 comes in one of five different colors, Great White, Bimini Blue, Ultra-Blue, Aqua Green and Cool Red. The SCY-CC can be changed between Great White, Bimini Blue, Aqua Green and Cool Red and comes with the standard power switch controller.
For those who want there lights to do more then turn on and off, Shadow-Caster has developed a pair of wireless controllers. The SCM-PD-WC is designed for use with any of Shadow-Casters single color lights and the SCM-PD-Plus-WC for use with there color changing lights. Both come with a submersible, ergonomic 2 button key FOB remote control with a range of over 100 feet. The SCM-PD-WC allows you to strobe, flash, dimm, fade or chase between 2 and 4 lights. The SCM-PD-Plus-WC lets you choose between the different colors and strobe, flash, dimm, fade or chase your lights.
